What is ScenarioGen?

ScenarioGen transforms course content into branching scenarios where students demonstrate learning by making decisions. Choose a preset theme, describe your own scenario, or upload a case study to build an immersive, scored assessment around your content and learning objectives.

Scenario Setup

Scenario Type *

Preset Theme — ScenarioGen creates characters and the story in the chosen setting (Healthcare, Space, Business, etc.)

Custom Scenario — Describe your own characters, setting, and situation. ScenarioGen will preserve your details and fill in the rest.

Case Study — Upload an existing case study. ScenarioGen will follow its characters, setting, and plot as the narrative foundation.

Learning Objectives * Enter what students should be able to DO after this scenario. These will become the basis for your scoring criteria below.

Scoring Criteria (2-5 required) *

These are the specific concepts ScenarioGen will build decision points around. Each criterion becomes a scored checkpoint in the scenario.

Start by copying your learning objectives above, then simplify each one into a short concept label (e.g., "Team communication effectiveness" rather than "Students will be able to analyze team communication").

Scenario Structure

Decision Nodes Each concept in your scoring criteria gets this many decision points. More nodes = deeper assessment but longer scenario.

Branches per Node How many choices the student sees at each decision point. 3 branches gives students more nuanced options to choose from.

Upload background readings or content. ScenarioGen will use these to inform concepts and decisions but will NOT use them as the narrative foundation.
